Throughout Season 5, both MW3 and Warzone have been expected to provide free Battle Pass tokens via the Weekly Challenges. However, it seems these tokens have only been distributed to select players, and the underlying reason remains unclear.
With Season 6 scheduled to launch on September 18, time is running short for players who wish to claim all available rewards and CoD Points, emphasizing the need to reach Tier 100.
Gamers can expedite their progress by earning Battle Pass tokens through the Weekly Challenges. Yet, a recent Reddit thread revealed that not all players are benefitting from this system.
User ‘skrnroo06′ shared two Discord screenshots, showcasing a player who received four Battle Pass Tokens for completing Week 7’s challenges, alongside another player who did not receive any.
Why some people getting tokens on weeklies and some not? Can we fix this? by u/srkanoo06 in ModernWarfareIII
The comments section is filled with players expressing their frustration at never receiving tokens. “Bro what the hell I’ve never gotten a single bp token from weekly challenges,” exclaimed one user.
“Been playing since launch. Only level 1000, but I’ve completed all weekly challenges without receiving tokens,” stated another player.
“My friend isn’t receiving tokens, but I am. I completed the battle pass earlier; they just go into the token bank, but no doubt they’ll disappear when season 6 arrives,” noted ‘Enigma_Green.’
The reason for this discrepancy in token distribution remains elusive. While I play on PC via Battle.net, purchased the regular Battle Pass, and have been earning tokens throughout Season 5, others seem to be experiencing the opposite.
As of now, the developers have not addressed this issue, but with growing player awareness, it should be on their radar soon.
Fortunately, players can also progress through the Season 5 Battle Pass while participating in Black Ops 6’s Open Beta, ensuring no loss of advancement while trying out the new game.
