Ali ‘Myth’ Kabbani has announced that he will be taking an indefinite break from streaming. The popular content creator has admitted that he has lost his passion for his regular grind and is looking to come back with bigger “moments”in mind.
For the first time in his career, Myth is taking an extended break from the streaming space. Despite being in front of the camera since his teenage years, the 25-year-old has decided to step away from content creation indefinitely. He is looking for more fulfillment outside of the regular grind.
Initially rising to fame as one of the most prominent figures in the Paragon community, Myth’s true breakthrough came with the meteoric rise of Fortnite. Garnering millions of followers on Twitch and YouTube, he continued to be a prominent presence during the peak moments of games such as Among Us, Rust, and many others.
Myth had been under an exclusive contract with YouTube for the past two years. With this deal now expired, he is taking his first extended break. Although he assured his fans that it is not a complete retirement, he is uncertain when he will return to the spotlight.

“In a video posted on social media on August 14th, Myth expressed that it is undeniably necessary for him to take a break. He mentioned that he is uncertain about his return, which is unprecedented for him as he has never taken a break without knowing when he will be back. However, he assured his followers that he does plan on returning.”
According to Myth, the primary reason for the decision is his dissatisfaction with his current approach to creating content. He stated, “I aspire to produce authentic content and stream in a manner that truly reflects my personality.”
After acknowledging the need for a different approach as a content creator, he confessed that if he had not taken a hiatus, he would have just returned to Twitch and continued with the same routine. Going live, playing games, and lacking a sense of purpose.
Moving forward, his objective remains the same: to “create moments”like he has successfully achieved in the past, but on a larger scale.
Myth has done it all in streaming space over the past decade.
“I have a sense of accomplishment, but when I reflect on my past, I also have a feeling that I haven’t accomplished much.”
Despite admitting that he also faces difficulties when reflecting, Myth reassured his fans that he is actively working on being more compassionate towards himself. He explained that he has put in a lot of effort to avoid feeling this way and to instead focus on all the amazing accomplishments he has achieved and the wonderful friendships he has formed on his journey.
Being a streamer can lead to feelings of isolation, making it easy to forget all of one’s accomplishments.
As I no longer have to concern myself with viewers or the financial aspect of things, I feel fortunate to be in a position where I can create content that truly connects with both you guys and myself.

Continuously reiterating this point, Myth reminded fans that this announcement does not mean he is retiring. The former Fortnite professional is eager to return to work with a renewed focus.
“This is not a video announcing my retirement. I will continue to work hard for it. Streaming is something I am passionate about and I want to feel fulfilled and motivated to continue doing it.”
