Kick streamer Rangesh ‘N3on’ Mutama has responded after a representative from the streaming platform confirmed that he had engaged in viewbotting on his channel.
N3on has experienced a significant surge in popularity on Kick over the past couple of years, even reaching nearly 100,000 peak viewers during this time.
Despite this meteoric rise, many viewers felt that his growth was abrupt and began to accuse the Kick streamer of using viewbots. Notably, JiDion publicly called him out for this during an IRL stream back in June 2024, provoking a heated response from N3on.
In a widely shared clip from September 18, 2024, a Kick employee stated that N3on had indeed used viewbots and disclosed that his actual viewership numbers were significantly lower.
“At one point, N3on was botting. 36,000 is now his average,” the employee mentioned. “At one time, I recall him reaching 90,000 viewers. I’m providing proof that, yes, yes, we’re honing in on it.”
N3on has since countered the claims made by the staff member, asserting that he has never used bots on his channel. “I hate when people discredit my success. I was averaging 100K with the fastest chat ever in history, right?” he stated. “…get off my d*ck bro, give me some credit for once in my life.”
He continued, “This old man… I don’t have any issue with you, I love Kick. I appreciate the Kick staff. Bro… focus on fixing the API and stuff… you cannot discredit [me].”

N3on further explained that after concluding his streams, channels such as Sneako and the Fresh and Fit podcast would see a spike in viewers.
In a related note, the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) announced a new regulation back in August aimed at halting AI-generated product reviews and banning influencers from purchasing fake “indicators.” This includes acquiring views, as the FTC believes these practices mislead consumers regarding a creator’s expertise on a subject.
Pending any legal challenges, this new ruling is set to take effect on October 13, 2024.
