On June 25th, a representative from Management SOOP, the agency of Nam Joo-hyuk, stated that his participation in the upcoming drama ‘Donggung’ has not yet been confirmed. The actor is currently in the process of considering the offer.
On the same day, MAA, the agency of Roh Yoon-seo, also stated their position to Xports News, saying that the actress is currently in talks to appear in ‘Donggung’, but nothing has been finalized yet.
The drama “Donggung”tells the tale of ghosts haunting a palace filled with secrets. It revolves around a ghost hunter and a court lady who enter the palace in secret to uncover the truth. The production team is currently in talks to release the drama on a global OTT platform.
Nam Joo-hyuk was offered the role of Goo Cheon, a pretentious ghost hunter with a unique ability to transform into a ghost and use his sword to eliminate other spirits. Roh Yoon-seo also received an offer for the character of Saeng-gang, a confident and daring court lady who possesses exceptional intelligence on par with scholars.
Nam Joo-hyuk is currently serving in the military as a member of the military police task force and is expected to be discharged this September. There is speculation that he may choose “Donggung”as his first project after completing his military service and potentially star alongside Roh Yoon-seo.
