u003cp>During a recent interview, Masashi Kishimoto, the creator of Naruto, expressed his regret regarding the way Sakura’s character was portrayed.
Kishimoto is renowned for his renowned manga Naruto, which has been included in the ‘Big Three’ alongside One Piece and Bleach. The author is also responsible for creating the sequel, Boruto Two Blue Vortex, with Mikio Ikemoto as the artist for the manga.
Kishimoto and Ikemoto recently participated in an interview to promote Boruto Two Blue Vortex. During the interview, they discussed not only the current series, but also the author’s past work.
During the interview, it was disclosed by Kishimoto that he had regrets about not delving deeper into Sakura’s relationship with her parents like he did with Naruto and Sasuke. Despite being one of the main characters, she did not receive the same level of depth as her teammates.
It is logical to conclude that this would have greatly influenced Sakura’s writing. Despite being a part of the main trio, she is often regarded as the most disliked character in the series. Much of this animosity stems from the perceived superficiality of her writing when compared to that of other prominent characters.
Despite Sakura’s growth and development as the strongest female character by the end, expanding her relationship with her parents would have given her a different role beyond just being a weaker teammate to Naruto and Sasuke. However, even with her increased strength, she is still not able to match her teammates.
Despite the messy romantic triangle between the trio, this, combined with her lack of a detailed backstory, resulted in her being deeply despised by fans. Perhaps if her character had been given a more developed backstory, viewers would have been able to empathize with her.
Following the author’s confession, fans are now eagerly requesting for it to come to fruition. As one X user commented: “KISHI HAS BEEN WANTING TO GIVE SAKURA AN ARC SINCE 2005 SOMEONE LET THIS MAN WRITE THE SAKURA ARC!!!!!”
“Another person requested for Kishimoto to create a manga set during the blank period and centered around Sakura’s novel and backstory, stating that it’s never too late and asking for a Sakura arc to be written.”
The third person agreed, stating that more attention should have been given to Sakura. The fourth person added that they would be interested in seeing more background information on Sakura, wondering if there is still an opportunity to do so.
Another fan pointed out that Road to Ninja was the first Naruto movie ever storyboarded by Kishimoto, hence its significance.
Despite Kishimoto’s current focus on Boruto Two Blue Vortex, it is unlikely that we will receive any updates solely on Sakura in the near future. However, this does not prevent fans from continuing to inquire.
In addition, you have the opportunity to further your knowledge about the most powerful character in Naruto and Madara’s Mangekyo Sharingan, which remains unnamed.
