Naruto Fans: Debunking the Myth of Kurama’s Revival Breaking the Series’ Rules

The Naruto series has consistently been a top title in the shonen genre. It is known for its memorable characters, including Sasuke, Might Guy, and Kakashi, as well as its unique elements like the Sharingan and Sage mode. However, none have sparked as much curiosity as the tailed beasts.

The recent spoilers for chapter 9 of Boruto Two Blue Vortex have caused a lot of discussion among the Naruto fanbase. They revealed that Kurama, one of the nine-tailed beasts, will be revived in the upcoming chapter, which has sparked much debate. While some fans point out that tailed beasts like the three tails have been shown to reform after being “destroyed,”others argue that Kurama’s revival is a new plot development altogether.

While some argue that Kurama’s appearance goes against the rules established in the series, others maintain that its reappearance was foreshadowed in Naruto years ago.

The official release of Chapter 9 is scheduled for April 21, 2024, and it will be accessible on Shueisha’s MANGAPlus platform.

Naruto: The Revival of Kurama was Inevitable

During the majority of the Naruto series, the tailed beasts remained enigmatic, with most of their formation and origins being revealed towards the end of the Shippuden series. Although they made fewer appearances in Boruto, their existence was confirmed during the Urashiki arc.

The recent appearance of Kurama has sparked debates among Naruto fans regarding the established laws surrounding the reincarnation of tailed beasts. These laws state that tailed beasts will ultimately reform and be reborn in the wild. However, it should be noted that these rules only come into effect when tailed beast chakra is released from a jinchuriki.

In the initial episodes of Naruto Shippuden, it became known that the death of a jinchuriki in battle results in the complete release of the tailed beast’s chakra, but the beast itself does not perish.

Many of the fans of Naruto believe that the revival of Kurama inside Himawari was a convenient coincidence. However, the idea of Boruto or Himawari being connected to Kurama and potentially becoming a jinchuriki has always been foreshadowed through their whiskers.

Despite the fact that Boruto and Himawari were born while Naruto still had Kurama inside him, they both possess traces of Kurama’s chakra, evident from the whiskers on their cheeks.

Despite sacrificing all of his chakra to activate the Baryon mode, Kurama’s death caused the nine-tailed chakra sealed within him to disappear. The connection between Kurama and Himawari could possibly be a remnant of his essence and chakra that remained within her.

It is possible that the new Kurama is an entirely different Nine-Tails, as suggested by his inquiry to Himawari about her knowledge of his identity.

Concluding Remarks

Some fans may argue that Kurama could have reformed within Boruto, but this was not possible as he already had Momoshiki sealed inside him, which could have impeded the reforming process.

In Boruto Two Blue Vortex chapter 9, Kurama’s resurrection and his unique bond with Himawari can be easily explained by the fact that the whiskers serve as a sign of the Nine-Tailed Fox’s chakra being present.
