Naruto’s True Successor Revealed

Despite being the main protagonist of the series, Boruto is not the new successor that Naruto has chosen. Throughout the show, there have been hints that the protagonist did not want to follow in his father’s footsteps. Being the son of a Hokage can be a burden, which is why Boruto asked Sasuke to be his mentor instead, following in the footsteps of his mentor rather than his father.

Despite idolizing the Seventh Hokage, Kawaki is not the chosen successor. Although he is undoubtedly a powerful and skilled shinobi, the current manga suggests the existence of another potential successor who has been overlooked in the story thus far.

As previously mentioned, Himawari Uzumaki has been designated as the Seventh Hokage’s successor. The path is now paved for her to make her mark, as seen through a series of events depicted in the Two Blue Vortex manga chapters. In chapter 8, Himawari’s transformation into a Jinchuriki took the entire fanbase by surprise.

From the start, Himawari was never given the opportunity to fully display her combat skills as she was deemed too young. But as she matured, she proved to be a skilled shinobi with Kurama residing within her. With the aid of Kurama’s chakra, she is able to face formidable opponents like Jura. In the recent Boruto Two Blue Vortex chapter 10 spoilers, a crucial detail is unveiled.

During a brief conversation in the Mental Plane, Himawari and Kurama connected as their Jinchuriki and Tailed Beast forms were completely in sync. Kurama was attempting to comprehend the different circumstances that led to his manifestation within Himawari. It is possible that one of the reasons for Kurama’s presence in Himawari was due to the combination of Naruto and Hinata’s genes, which also contained Kurama’s chakra. Additionally, the Tailed Beast believed that it could have been fate as a Tailed Beast’s death is never permanent and they always find a way to reincarnate.

As they prepared to face Jura in battle, Himawari sought out Kurama’s assistance. However, the Tailed Beast’s chakra could only be harnessed by its Jinchuriki. It was then that Kurama revealed that Himawari was the most skilled Jinchuriki he had encountered. Her compatibility with the Nine-Tailed Beast was unmatched, making her capable of surpassing even Naruto.

Despite Inojin’s injury, Himawari’s strong emotions allowed her to tap into Kurama Chakra Mode. This not only shows that she is following in her father’s footsteps, but also suggests that she may even surpass him in her ninjutsu skills. The prospect of seeing her face off against formidable opponents like Jura is highly anticipated.
