Despite the general excitement surrounding a potential solo career, Jeongyeon shared her true feelings on the matter. In a recent Bubble post, the singer clarified that she has no intention of pursuing a solo career at this time.
“I’m not working on my solo, so stop. There are a lot of ONCEs saying I might not because of high resistance, but I don’t want to be a soloist and I’m not planning to be one forever, so stop looking forward to it.”
However, the singer also mentioned that she may still pursue a solo career in the future, giving ONCEs a ray of hope.
“Is saying for the rest of my life a bit much? I might do it one day, so let’s set it straight. (Maybe) in a year? Ask me again in one year.”
Jeongyeon’s potential as a soloist has been a topic of discussion among fans for a long time, as she is widely recognized as one of the top vocalists in the K-pop industry.
