In the world of NBA 2K games, a beloved tradition continues with NBA 2K25, allowing basketball enthusiasts to import their own face scans to create a MyPlayer that resembles them.
For players looking to achieve this in NBA 2K25, a separate piece of software is required beyond the console game. Here’s a guide to creating and importing a face scan.
Creating & Importing a Face Scan for MyPlayer
First, download the MyNBA 2K Companion App, available on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store as an update for NBA 2K25.
The app supports 2K25, but ensure it is updated. To confirm you’re using the correct version of the app, select the ‘NBA 2K(#)’ box in the top-right corner. There are three different versions: 2K23, 2K24, and 2K25.
After accessing the 2K25 version, select the ‘Face Scan’ option and agree to the terms and conditions to proceed.
The face scanning process will require your smartphone to capture your face accurately. Align your face with a provided marker and slowly move left and right to ensure the entire face is scanned. It’s important to perform this in a well-lit environment.
Completing the face scan process may take a few minutes.
Once completed, enter the MyCareer mode and create your player build. Under the customization suite in the ‘Appearance’ section, you can check for the scanned face data. This step can be performed either before starting a MyCareer file or afterward.
