Despite being a member of NCT DREAM, Jeno has become the subject of a controversy due to the onslaught of body shaming comments on various social media platforms.
The criticism originated from a post on Pann that has since been deleted, in which netizens expressed their disapproval of the idol’s shirtless appearance at the Seoul stop of the group’s The Dream Show 3 concert.
Despite the overwhelming negativity, supporters of Jeno immediately banded together to protect him.
The ridiculousness of analyzing his appearance was pointed out and it was emphasized that the viewpoints of the concert-goers, who greatly appreciated Jeno’s performance, should carry more significance than anonymous negative comments online.

His autonomy as an adult to make decisions about his own body was emphasized by them.
Mark, the leader of NCT Dream, came to Jeno’s defense by praising his looks and confidence. He recognized the bravery it takes to perform on stage and encouraged viewers to admire Jeno’s hard work instead of finding fault in it.

Despite the recent news of NCT Dream’s Jeno testing positive for COVID-19, all of his scheduled activities have been put on hold. SM Entertainment has confirmed the diagnosis and reported that Jeno is currently in self-quarantine at home and receiving necessary treatment.
The agency announced the postponement of the group’s fansign event and reassured fans that Jeno’s recovery remains a top priority. Despite recent privacy concerns after a “sasaeng”fan trespassed into member Haechan’s residence, NCT Dream continues their world tour. In response, SM Entertainment issued a warning against such actions and promised to take legal action to safeguard their artists’ privacy.
