NCT Haechan’s Appearance Amid Scandal Has Fans Devastated: ‘He Doesn’t Deserve This’

On June 3, Johnny and Haechan, members of NCT, were accused of engaging in casual relationships with three Japanese fans. The controversy gained widespread attention and sparked a significant reaction among the K-pop community.

On June 4, fans took to X (Twitter) to share their heartbreak after witnessing Haechan’s public appearance. Despite being present at the airport, photos revealed that the idol looked visibly distressed, and fans attributed this to the ongoing scandal rumors.

The controversy began when an X (Twitter) user named @kira_ceo_main, a prominent nightlife organizer in Japan, alleged that Johnny and Haechan had engaged in sexual activity with three women, who are reportedly fans of other members of NCT.

Accusations began to arise when the photos showed the two idols allegedly being seen with the women and having drinks together.

The situation became even more dubious when online users discovered a photo of a hotel room key and a supposed conversation between Johnny and one of the girls on KakaoTalk.

Additionally, some netizens were able to uncover the official social media accounts of two out of the three girls online.

Johnny and Haechan immediately faced criticism on various social media platforms and online communities.

Despite the accusations, many fans remained skeptical and believed that the photos were simply posted by an obsessive stalker of the group. They argued that these random pictures were shared with the intention of inciting hate towards the two NCT members.

This caused netizens to call on SM Entertainment to shield the boys from the controversy and allegations, which some believe to be unfounded.

SM Entertainment wasted no time in responding to the issue, as the agency released an official statement addressing the accusations on June 4.

The agency’s statement refuted the circulating rumors, stating that they were without merit and intended to harm the artists.

“After carefully examining the rumors, we want to clarify that these allegations are untrue,”SM stated. “These are malicious attempts to tarnish the reputation of our artists.”

The statement and overall issue were met with reactions from netizens, according to Pannchoa.

  • “Why are rumors getting so dirty nowadays? And why are they made so easily? Everyone’s head is rotting.”
  • “I bet the idols and the fans will soon develop some disease because of all the rumors they make.”
  • “I was shocked that this grew in scale so much.”
