NCT Member Taeil Allegedly Unfollowed by Colleagues and Childhood Friend: Is There Truth to the Claims?

Despite being a member of NCT, Taeil has recently faced allegations of being involved in a sexual crime, which has caused shock and disbelief. However, his agency, SM Entertainment, has promptly addressed the issue through an official statement, firmly announcing his departure from the group.

The reaction from SM Entertainment towards a key member of the group facing severe accusations has been firm. The company promptly accepted the criminal charges, expressed regret, and made the drastic decision to remove Taeil from the group.

According to SM, Taeil is currently assisting with the police investigation regarding the sexual crime allegations. SM also stated that they will continue to provide updates as the investigation progresses.

After Taeil’s involvement in a sexual crime was announced and he left the group, a considerable amount of individuals started to unfollow him on social media. Taeil, who previously had approximately 6 million followers on his personal SNS, observed a substantial decrease in his follower count following the release of SM’s official statement. Some of his fellow artists were among those who unfollowed him, indicating their implicit disapproval.

In addition, it has been observed that several NCT members, SM staff, and even a childhood friend of Taeil’s for 17 years have unfollowed the male idol. This implies that there may be some “insider knowledge”regarding the ongoing accusations.

The following are comments from netizens in Korea:

  • Now there’s a sex offender in NCT. It’s such a nuisance
  • What could he have possibly done to cause even those close to him to become distant?
  • Wow, nothing is confirmed so far, but since they cut ties with him so quickly, it seems like it’s almost confirmed
  • I feel bad for the members
  • I guess the members knew about this in advance

However, it was also uncovered that for the past 6 years, an anonymous account had been making accusations against Taeil of using spy cameras, blackmail, and even making death threats towards them.

Theqoo and Daum were the sources for the information.
