Taeyong’s bandmates bid him a heartfelt farewell as he officially enlisted in the military on April 15.
The vocalist of “SHALALA”, who was the first member of NCT to enlist in the military, was joined by Taeil, Johnny, Yuta, Ten, Doyoung, Jungwoo, and Jaehyun.
Taeyong’s recent Instagram post on his verified account featured the idol confidently sporting his new buzz cut as he posed with his fellow members. In the caption, Taeyong reassured fans of his safe return, declaring “I will return safely! Stay healthy and let’s keep going together! I love you all!”
Despite the sadness among fans over Taeyong’s departure, they found comfort in knowing that he would return. This sparked a wave of reactions online from NCTzens on social media platform X (Twitter), where they expressed their well wishes for the idol’s military service and shared their emotional sentiments about seeing his fellow members send him off.

On March 18, SM Entertainment officially announced that Taeyong would be enlisting in the military. The agency stated that his enlistment date was set for April 15 and that there would be no special events held on that day.
