NCT WISH Member Riku Suspends Activities for Health Reasons

Riku, a member of the boy group NCT WISH, is currently stepping back from his activities due to health issues. On October 22, SM Entertainment released a statement via the fan community, sharing, “Riku recently sought medical advice due to his declining health, and after a thorough evaluation, healthcare professionals have recommended that he take significant time off for recovery.”

The entertainment agency added, “Prioritizing the artist’s well-being, we have had an extensive discussion with Riku and have agreed that he should concentrate on his recuperation.”

Furthermore, they noted, “Effective immediately, Riku will not be participating in any upcoming scheduled events. We will keep fans informed on his progress and when he can resume his activities. We appreciate your understanding, particularly concerning the imminent ‘2024 NCT WISH ASIA TOUR: LOG in JAPAN,’ which will continue with five members: Shion, Yushi, Jaehui, Ryo, and Sakuya.”

In addition, NCT WISH, the group to which Riku belongs, launched their debut mini-album titled “Steady” on September 24. The group is gearing up to commence their Asia tour, “LOG in JAPAN,” which kicks off on November 3, where they will engage with their fans.
