This was the first time he spoke to fans since the recent scandal involving former member Taeil. Haechan wrote the message while on a flight to Bogotá, Colombia, for NCT Dream’s Latam tour, where he reflected on his journey and the strong bond he shares with his fellow members and fans.
While savoring his in-flight meal, Haechan paused to share his musings, marveling at the fact that NCT is now commemorating its eighth year. Recalling his path thus far, he recognized that his passion for singing and dancing initially led him to this profession, but he has since gained a deeper understanding of the various elements involved in his craft. He stressed the significance of diligence and humility, attributing his longevity in the industry to the unwavering support of his fellow members.
Haechan conveyed his appreciation for the strong bond and collaborative spirit that has enabled him and his group to reach great heights. He was amazed by the fact that the same members he shares jokes with are also adored public figures, adulated by countless supporters. He acknowledged that their combined hard work, even if it may appear insignificant to some, has been the driving force behind the release of multiple albums and a plethora of accomplishments over the years.
Haechan became emotional as he expressed his profound affection for his group and made a vow to always give his all for NCT. He also looked back on the difficulties he encountered while promoting in two groups, recognizing the physical and emotional strain it caused him. As we celebrate our eighth anniversary this year, I reflect on how far we have come. When I first started this job, my passion for singing and dancing drove me, but I have since learned that there are other important aspects to consider. I am continuously learning, and one of the greatest lessons I have learned is the value of hard work. None of our accomplishments have been achieved solely by my own efforts, but rather, it is the support and dedication of my fellow members that have brought us to where we are now. Despite the challenges of my physically and mentally demanding schedule, I am grateful for the recognition and success that my group achieved through our promotions. I am not one to do things half-heartedly, not even a little bit. I say this because I have always worked diligently in the past, and I will continue to do so in the future for my fellow members.
