Negai no Astro: Chapter 3 Recap

Beginning where the previous chapter left off, chapter 3 of Negai no Astro sees Hibaru Yotsurugi reconnecting with Ginji, a former colleague of his late father. Ginji reveals to Hibaru that a rebellion has been started by Shio during his (Hibaru’s) period of sleep.

He stated that Shio and the other Yotsurugi siblings have each established their own bases in opposition to Terasu assuming the role of clan head. This has led to a competition for the title of boss among them.

Afterwards, Terasu asks Hibaru for the key to the armory. He understands that their only chance against the overpowering enemy is through weapons. Yet, Hibaru cannot bear the thought of turning against his own brothers to bring an end to the war.

However, Terasu reprimands Hibaru for lacking the courage to confront the truth. He points out that they are not even biologically related, thus emphasizing their status as “strangers.”

Bringing Terasu to the training room, just like their late father used to do, Hibaru follows the Yotsurugi family’s code and challenges Terasu to a showdown. During the showdown, no outsiders are permitted to enter.

As Hibaru charges towards Terasu, he comes to the realization that his brother has also acquired the Astro powers. It becomes apparent that Terasu wished for these powers in order to protect his siblings. While trading blows, Hibaru makes it clear that he cannot allow a fight between siblings to escalate.

Hibaru makes a vow to convince his rebellious brothers to unite with him. After hearing Hibaru’s words, Terasu is finally moved and appears to be willing to support him. The chapter concludes with Hibaru and Terasu heading to Ikebukuro to persuade Kuran (the tenth adopted son of the late Kongo Yotsurugi) to join their cause.

In chapter 4 of Negai no Astro, it is expected that Hibaru and Terasu will continue to try their hardest to convince Kuran, who Hibaru believes to be the true protagonist, following the events of the previous chapter.

Despite the certainty of him gaining the Astro powers, it is undeniable that he has also acquired them. This will inevitably lead to a confrontation between the brothers. Nonetheless, readers can anticipate an action-packed chapter.
