The official website of MANGA Plus has announced that Negai no Astro chapter 5 will be available in the Weekly Shonen Jump #25 issue on Monday, May 20, 2024, at 12 am JST. However, due to time zone differences, international readers can access the chapter earlier on May 19, 2024.

In the previous chapter of Negai no Astro, Hibaru and Terasu encountered their long-lost brother, Kuran, in Ikebukuro. Despite their initial intention to recruit him, they were surprised to find that the vice-captain of the Ikebukuro branch, Kou, had taken over as the new leader with the help of Astro powers. In response, Hibaru issued a challenge to Kou for a duel.

The upcoming release of Negai no Astro chapter 5 on Monday, May 20, 2024, at 12 am JST in Weekly Shonen Jump’s 25th issue has been announced on Shueisha’s MANGA Plus website. Manga enthusiasts who enjoy Ken Wakui’s work can access chapter 5 of Negai no Astro on various Shueisha-affiliated platforms, including the MANGA Plus website and app, the Shonen Jump+ app, and Viz Media’s official website.

The first and the most recent three chapters are available for free on various platforms, with the exception of the Shonen Jump+ app, which requires a subscription for access to all chapters.

Negai no Astro Chapter 4 Recap

Chapter 4, titled The Ikebukuro Two, opens with Terasu proposing to Hibaru that Kuran would join their cause once Kou is on their side. However, Hibaru remains uninterested in Kou.

Immediately after, they are alerted to the cries of an unknown girl whose purse has been snatched. The Sanmenroppi, also known as the “Three Faces, Six Arms,”quickly apprehend the thief and return the girl’s purse to her.

As stated in the chapter, Kuran has gathered all the delinquents from Ikebukuro to create a unique security team dedicated to protecting the town. Eventually, Hibaru and Terasu arrive at the Yotsurugi family’s Ikebukuro branch, which is under the leadership of Kuran.

Upon arrival at the facility, they are greeted by the sight of an ongoing party. Hibaru’s legs involuntarily begin to move as Terasu takes in the surroundings. Before they can fully process the situation, a fight erupts and Kuran steps in to break it up.

Hibaru and Terasu approached their brother, asking him to join them. However, he explained that he was no longer able to make such decisions. The chapter then revealed that Kou had used his Astro powers to defeat Kuran and take over as the leader of the Ikebukuro branch.

During the meteor strike, Kou clung onto his lighter and hoped for the ability to destroy everything. As a result, he was granted the powerful Astro powers of Asura. With these newfound abilities, Kuran and Samneroppi were mere puppets under his control.

Undoubtedly, Hibaru is displeased with Kou’s impulsive and illogical actions. He questions Kou about whether winning a fight against him will result in regaining everything he has lost. The chapter concludes with Hibaru challenging Kou, his step-brother, to a duel.

Based on the events of the previous chapter, it can be expected that Negai no Astro chapter 5 will feature the long-awaited showdown between Hibaru and Kou. Hibaru is aware that defeating his brother would grant him control over the Ikebukuro branch, ultimately restoring Kuran’s lost status.
