Netflix has recently announced the release date for its upcoming animated series, Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft, and it’s coming sooner than anticipated. The show is set to debut in the next few months, and we have all the details about it.
Netflix’s upcoming animation series, Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft, is the latest addition to the franchise and is set within the Tomb Raider universe. Starring Hayley Atwell, best known for her portrayal of Peggy Carter in Captain America: The First Avenger, as the voice of Lara Croft, the show is scheduled to premiere on October 10, 2024, exclusively on Netflix.
The Legend of Lara Croft’s story is set after the trilogy reboot from 2013 to 2018, which featured Tomb Raider, Rise of the Tomb Raider, and Shadow of the Tomb Raider. Throughout the series, Lara must leave her companions behind in order to embark on progressively dangerous solo missions.
When a skilled thief with a strong personal tie steals a valuable Chinese artifact from the Croft Manor, Lara is forced to return home. In her daring pursuit to retrieve the artifact, she embarks on a journey around the globe, delving into ancient tombs and facing her inner self. This experience will ultimately lead her to determine the type of hero she wants to be.
