On August 21st, a representative from Netflix spoke to the JTBC Entertainment News Team stating, “Maintaining confidentiality prior to the show’s release is crucial for ensuring the success of the program and delivering the intended enjoyment to viewers. This is a commitment made between all producers and cast members who have invested in the show’s success.”The representative also mentioned that the winner of “The Influencer”did not receive any prize money as they had breached their contract by revealing confidential information, which was necessary to maintain the integrity and fairness of the show for all involved parties.
“The Influencer”was impacted by the fact that Oking’s victory was revealed before its public release date was officially announced.
Despite his involvement in the Winnerz Coin scam scandal, Oking continues to attack Winnerz. According to former CEO Choi Seung-jung, Oking’s appearance on Netflix’s “The Influencer”and completion of recording is the reason behind his actions. He reportedly spoiled his victory to his acquaintances.
Due to Oking’s breach of confidentiality obligations, there may be a penalty imposed. However, Netflix has chosen to be careful in their response, stating, “It is currently challenging to disclose the details of the penalty.”
