Netflix Releases New Telenovela to Watch After Pact of Silence

When it comes to drama, few things compare to a well-crafted telenovela. Following the success of Pact of Silence, viewers on Netflix are now hooked on a “captivating”new show: Love of My Life.

There’s no better feeling than indulging in a quality Netflix binge, and this year has certainly not disappointed with its array of options. While popular series such as Baby Reindeer and Bridgerton have received much acclaim, telenovelas like Desperate Lies and Pact of Silence have also made a splash in the spotlight.

In response to the demand, Netflix has released a new show. Love of My Life, a Colombian telenovela, has been added to the streaming service as of August 1, with all 60 episodes now available for viewing.

Yes, you read that correctly! Unlike most binge-worthy TV shows on the platform which typically have no more than eight episodes per series, Love of My Life boasts 60 hour-long episodes all available with the touch of a button.

The plot centers around a wealthy landowner’s daughter who becomes enamored with a charming laborer. Reminiscent of Romeo and Juliet, their relationship causes turmoil between their respective families.

Despite the lack of an official Rotten Tomatoes score or much promotion, early reviews have already praised the telenovela as “gripping.”

Tarushi Patali, who attended The Feast of Legends, reviewed the gripping new drama Love of My Life. The show expertly weaves together a forbidden love story with significant social issues, including racial injustice.

The series is set in 1970s Colombia and aims to delve into the intricacies of love, deceit, and retribution within a tumultuous social environment.

Nevertheless, if this piques your interest, be sure not to mix it up. Some countries where Netflix is available, such as the Philippines, already have a show with the same title. However, this version centers on an architect from a wealthy background attempting to establish a relationship with a business owner.

It’s especially confusing for regions that have the 2017 British film with the identical title, as this means there are now three options available when you search for the movie on Netflix.

The main cast members of our latest telenovela binge are María José Camacho, Paula Castaño, and Sergio Herrera. Viewers will likely observe that the majority of episodes begin with characters gazing longingly out of a window, and there is even a young nun included for added intrigue.
