The date of May 5 holds a special significance for every One Piece fan, who may have had to sacrifice remembering historical dates and math formulas. This date marks the birthday of the legendary PIRATE CAPTAIN, Monkey D. Luffy, who is considered the greatest among all.

In honor of the occasion, Netflix released a brief video, which reveals a secret at the end.

Netflix Releases New Video With Iñaki Godoy

On May 5, Netflix released a brief clip showcasing Iñaki Godoy, the actor portraying Luffy in the One Piece live-action. In the video, Godoy commemorated Luffy’s birthday by slicing a cake shaped like a cool, candle and featuring a candle in the form of the number “3.”

Initially, it may appear unremarkable, but it alludes to Mr 3. or Galdino, the primary antagonist of the Little Garden Arc and a key figure in Miss Goldenweek’s “Operation: Meet Baroque Works,”alongside the other Officer Agents of Baroque Works.

One Piece Live-Action Season 2: What to Expect

The wax cake and the numeral “3”symbolize Mr. 3 and his Paramecia-type Devil Fruit, which grants him the power to produce and manipulate candle wax. This implies that we will encounter him and the other Baroque Works members in season 2.

Season 1 covered the East Blue Saga and a portion of the Loguetown Arc. Season 2 is expected to finish the Loguetown Arc and then transition into the Arabasta Saga. During the Loguetown Arc, the Straw Hats will confront Captain Smoker and defend themselves against adversaries seeking their bounty. Furthermore, this is where we are introduced to Monkey D. Dragon.

The second season of Netflix’s coverage of the Arabasta Saga remains uncertain as it comprises 117 chapters. However, viewers can expect to see the final section of the East Blue Saga, which spanned 100 chapters, in the upcoming episodes.
