A post titled “ILLIT at Kutopia Festival” was uploaded on the Korean forum theqoo on May 21. It quickly gained traction, receiving over 66,00 views and almost 400 comments.
The subject uploaded multiple videos of ILLIT’s performance at Korea University’s Kutopia Festival, which took place during the controversy surrounding NewJeans’ alleged copying of ILLIT.
Despite the news, the members of ILLIT appeared unaffected and delivered a high-energy and entertaining performance. Despite their performance at a festival, there were some negative reactions as it was pointed out that they may have been lip-syncing.
