Netizens Spread Evidence of Hyein Being ‘Ignored’ by NewJeans Members

The NewJeans fan community has recently expressed concerns about the treatment of member Hyein by her fellow group members. Several instances have been observed where the other members have ignored her, and even displayed displeasure towards her, leading to her feeling isolated within the group.

In the vlog filmed by the members, there were two cameras in total. Haerin and Minji walked together, followed by Hanni and Danielle, while Hyein walked alone with the manager at a distance.

While Hyein looked on, the four members of NewJeans embraced each other tightly in another scene, with no words passing between them.

It is widely believed among fans that Minji exhibits the most noticeable signs of discomfort towards Hyein compared to the other members. As the leader, many fans feel that Minji should not behave in such a manner.

Hyein and Minji were chatting with fans when:Hyein (jokingly): “My blood type is the doll type.” — Minji stayed silent for a long time and didn’t laugh —Hyein: “I’m sorry, everyone.” Minji: “So what do you want me to say?” Hyein: “No, I actually like this silence.”

On another occasion, Hyein revealed on Phoning to her fans that she had sent a message in the group chat, but the older members had only seen it without responding. Minji then asked in the group chat, “When did you send it?”

During a livestream, Minji discussed living in the dorm with the four members, including herself, Haerin, Hanni, and Danielle. However, she did not mention the youngest member, Hyein, leading to speculation that Hyein may be feeling isolated in the dorm.

During a different livestream, Hyein was joyfully playing with some gift wrapping paper. However, Minji appeared unhappy with this and suddenly took the paper away from Hyein and discarded it.

Despite being the maknae, Hyein has not only been ignored by Minji, but also by the other members. During a game, the rest of the group completely disregarded her, not even bothering to call her name. It was evident that she was visibly upset.

During a recent outing to take photobooth pictures, Hanni asked Hyein to cover the expenses. Without hesitation, Hyein pulled out her card as she had done many times before. As seen in K-Dramas, it is common for bullied students to be expected to pay to avoid further mistreatment. This has led to fans speculating that Hyein is often the one who foots the bill when the group goes out.

In her vlog, Hanni was recording a video with Minji, but as soon as Hyein showed up, she promptly adjusted the camera angle.

On a separate occasion, the members entered a double-decker bus in the same order: Minji/Hanni -> Hyein -> Danielle/Haerin. Despite boarding third, Hyein opted not to sit next to the older members and instead chose to sit alone in the back. Later, Danielle and Haerin joined Minji and Hanni in the remaining seats.

Hyein was given the responsibility of gazing into the eyes of the member sitting next to her and sharing loving words. The member beside her happened to be Haerin. Knetizens noticed that although Haerin is usually reserved, her discomfort was evident in her facial expression. This was a reaction unlike any they had seen from her before.

Consequently, Hyein’s supporters have expressed their discontent on her behalf, citing mistreatment from her fellow group members, specifically Minji. This has not gone unnoticed by not only fans, but also numerous netizens who have observed tensions among the girls. Some Korean netizens have even questioned why Hanni consistently appears to ignore Hyein, despite Hyein’s attempts to build a closer and more amicable relationship with her.

Despite the presented videos being labeled as “evidence,”NewJeans fans argue that they are not enough to prove any conflict among the members. They contend that the other four members continue to treat Hyein with kindness. Furthermore, they urge netizens to refrain from spreading any misinformation about the group.
