New Additions to Starbucks Summer Menu 2024: Tropical Energy Drinks & More

The second phase of Starbucks’ Summer menu for 2024 has been announced, featuring a variety of new food options, cold brews, and tropical energy drinks that have never been seen before.

Back in May, Markie_devo, a well-known food blogger on Instagram, revealed the items after they were leaked. According to Markie_devo, the information came directly from a Starbucks employee.

Starbucks employees are granted early access to new menu items a couple of weeks prior to their official launch, in order to refine the drink recipes and give rewards members a head start about a week before the public release.

It appears that the leak was correct since the drinks are scheduled to be released on June 25, replacing the current Summer Menu which includes popping boba.

Despite the delay of the cinnamon frappuccino mentioned in the above post, customers were still eagerly anticipating the second part of Starbucks’ Summer Menu release, which featured seven new items.

The additional menu options are:

  • The Tropical Citrus Iced Energy Drink contains a refreshing blend of passionfruit, citrus, and green tea.
  • The Melon Burst Iced Energy Drink is a refreshing blend of melon, cucumber, and passion tango tea.
  • The Frozen Tropical Iced Energy Drink is a refreshing way to get a boost of energy. It combines a blend of passionfruit and citrus flavors with strawberry puree, creating a delicious frozen beverage.
  • The Non-Dairy Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew is a unique combination of Starbucks cold brew coffee, carefully steeped and infused with vanilla, and topped off with a layer of non-dairy vanilla sweet cream.
  • The sandwich, featuring a combination of eggs, pesto, and mozzarella, is made with a light and airy frittata that includes kale and basil pesto. It is then served on a cheddar and onion bun that has been toasted to perfection.
  • The Blueberry Streusel Muffin is a delicious treat that features a golden-brown exterior filled with plump, juicy blueberries and a touch of fragrant vanilla. It is then finished off with a sprinkling of cinnamon streusel on top.

Starbucks is following the trend of other chains that have recently launched energy drinks. These new beverages have a slight sparkle and may be comparable to their Refreshas, which also contain green coffee bean extract for added energy.

In April, Jack In The Box introduced energy drinks to their menu, while Smoothie King recently added a selection of drinks utilizing green coffee beans as a source of caffeine.

It is commendable to see Starbucks continuing to innovate with their new energy drinks, particularly after their previous release which embraced the popular boba trend and included a dairy-free option.

Starbucks has discreetly introduced these items, which are currently in stock and can be purchased at all of their locations while supplies last.
