New Arcane Season 2 Trailer Drops, But One Crucial Element is Absent

As one of the most highly anticipated shows coming back in 2024, the Arcane Season 2 trailer has sparked a lot of excitement – although you may have noticed that a crucial detail is absent.

The Netflix animated series based on the League of Legends universe was released in 2021 and received both critical acclaim and high ratings. It has since been hailed as one of the greatest video game adaptations ever due to its captivating plot, well-developed characters, and impressive animation.

The streaming service wasted no time in giving the green light for a second season, which showrunner Christian Linke revealed would also be its final one. While the news may be bittersweet, viewers can still look forward to a new batch of episodes before the series concludes, as the Arcane Season 2 trailer has just been released today (September 5).

The clip provides a glimpse of the impending action and turmoil, as Piltover and Zaun gear up for a full-scale battle, with sisters Vi (Hailee Steinfeld) and Jinx (Ella Purnell) taking opposing stances. Take a look:

At the conclusion of the video, a message appears on the screen stating “Only on Netflix. November.”Although it has been confirmed that Arcane Season 2 will be released in November 2024, an official date has not yet been announced.

It is not typical for the full trailer to be released before a date is announced, which has sparked speculation that it has been moved up due to the Netflix data breach. This breach resulted in unfinished episodes from the latest chapter being leaked online.

The leak occurred on August 6 when episodes from several unreleased anime, such as Dandadan, Ranma ½, Terminator Zero, Re:Zero, and Mononoke the Movie, were made available online.

Only a few days after the initial release, hackers leaked the first five episodes of Arcane’s highly anticipated second chapter. This caused an uproar among fans who were disappointed by the amount of time and effort that had been dedicated to its creation.

In a statement to The Wrap, Netflix announced that one of their post-production partners had been compromised, resulting in the unfortunate online leak of footage from several of their titles. The company is actively working to have the leaked content removed.

Despite the lack of an official release date, fans are eagerly anticipating the show’s return. One fan wrote, “Based on the trailer, it seems like this season will be one of the best in the history of the show.”

One person exclaimed, “I screamed for the entire two minutes of this trailer, I am truly overwhelmed by the excitement, everyone.”Another stated, “The animation in this show is incredibly mind-blowing and stunning, the entire team behind it deserves a prestigious award.”
