New Dedicated Team Assigned to Fix Bugs in The Sims 4

A new team has been formed with the specific goal of addressing bugs and enhancing performance in The Sims 4. Players can anticipate the following improvements as a result.

Despite years of bugs and problems in The Sims 4, EA has at last formed a team solely devoted to addressing “reported concerns.”This update was announced in a post on X on May 23, outlining the developers’ plans for enhancing the game.

The developers stated that they are aware of the technical problems that have interrupted players’ gameplay in The Sims 4 and understand the frustration it has caused.

With the addition of this new internal team, the game can now expect to see an increase in the number of fixes and patch updates.

As stated in the post, the initial update is set to occur later this month. Following the release of the first update, subsequent patches will be distributed approximately every two months.

A list of matters concerning the community that the team intends on addressing in this month’s patch has also been distributed.

The list contains several noteworthy bugs that can be found in the base game and its expansion packs, including Sims disregarding dirty dishes in corners and campfires causing an excessive amount of fires, among other issues.

In addition to addressing any bugs, the team is also actively working on enhancing the performance of The Sims 4. This involves implementing optimizations across all platforms to reduce the game’s memory usage, resulting in fewer crashes, improved framerate, and a more responsive simulation.

In the Laundry List blog post, EA has also urged players to utilize Answers HQ to report any issues they encounter. This remains their main channel for gathering information on player experiences.

Moreover, it’s important to keep in mind that as bug fixes and updates become more frequent, players using mods will need to either remove or update them before installing the patch. This is necessary because there is a possibility that the mods may clash with the patch and create additional problems in the game.
