Destiny 2 has introduced a new mode that is set to make history by allowing 16 Guardians to battle it out in a single lobby. With the addition of Sparrows, the Crucible is sure to be filled with chaotic excitement.
The Crucible in Destiny 2 is renowned for challenging Guardians to a display of their raw abilities. In this arena, all resources are fair game as players strive to defeat their opponents using any means available, such as weapons, abilities, and supers.
While the Crucible is known for its intense battles, Bungie also offers a variety of lighthearted game modes. One of these is Sparrow Control, where players can use the popular vehicles to playfully run over their friends and enemies.
Bungie is seeking to add some excitement to the Crucible once more by bringing back Sparrow Control with a fresh twist. This new version will have you teaming up with 15 other Guardians in the same lobby, ensuring that chaos will surely follow.
Destiny 2 is reintroducing Sparrow Control to the Crucible with a new twist.
Bungie has announced in the August 15 TWID that they will be reintroducing Sparrow Crucible, thanks to the feedback received from a poll at GCX 2024. While this mode is intended to commemorate the event, Bungie is extending an invitation to all players to participate, giving them the opportunity to potentially compete against their favorite content creator on the show floor.
It is quite a challenge to accommodate 16 Guardians in one lobby, and the developers have clarified that this is a “highly experimental”mode. Therefore, there is a possibility of things not going smoothly, prompting the developers to closely monitor its stability and deactivate it if needed.
The mode had gone through previous versions, but never on this level. With the addition of Sparrows roaming the map, highly skilled Guardians are sure to make some crazy plays.
Although 16-man Sparrow Control is only offered for one weekend (August 17-18), the developers are granting you another opportunity to try it out as an experimental mode for a period of two weeks beginning on August 27.
