Ahead of Go Fest 2024, Pokemon Go has revealed that players will have the opportunity to catch multiple Ultra Beasts (UBs) during an upcoming event, without having to defeat them in Raids or make any purchases.
The Inbound from Ultra Space event offers players free Timed Research opportunities, which grant encounters with all Ultra Beasts except for Poipole. This presents an excellent opportunity for players to capture these formidable Pokemon, which are typically only obtainable through 5-Star Raid battles.
Enthusiastic followers flocked to the comments section of a post on The Silph Road subreddit, where they were able to view the event’s infographic designed by the well-known Pokemon Go expert, ‘G47IX’. They also shared exciting updates and details about the Research.

A user pointed out that the ticket allows for one encounter with each UB. They believe it is a worthwhile purchase due to the high probability of encountering a shiny UB.
Do not forget that all featured Ultra Beasts, except for Blacephalon and Stakataka, are available for you to catch. These two have only recently made their debut in May 2023 in Pokemon Go.
Additionally, trainers can now capture all UBs, including those whose Raids were previously only available in specific regions of the Northern and Southern Hemisphere. This allows them to fully complete their Ultra Beast collection in their Pokedex.
Additionally, Poipole cannot be obtained through Research as it is not a species exclusive to raids. However, it can be obtained through the free World of Wonders Special Research and the paid Wonder Ticket Timed Research.
The trainers praised the upcoming “fun Timed Research”for being accessible to all without any cost. They also commended the paid version of the Research, which offers valuable items such as Candy for each UB, as it allows for easy powering up of Pokemon for Raids and the Go Battle League (GBL).
PvP players noticed that the Timed Research UB encounters would have a CP lower than 1500, allowing them to be used in the Great League, which is not possible with Raid catches. Specifically, Guzzlord is a formidable competitor in this GBL format.
Pokemon Go players are eagerly anticipating the event’s Timed Research quest, which will provide an opportunity to capture powerful attackers for battles and possibly even find shiny versions.
