New Helldivers 2 Major Order confirms Termicide fan theory

It appears that Helldivers 2 players have figured out Joel’s identity, as a recent Major Order has confirmed a long-standing conspiracy theory.

The Helldivers have been reminded of the unpredictable nature of the notorious Game Master, Joel, who both gives and takes away. In the latest Major Order, players have been assigned the task of dismantling the Terminid Control Systems that they had previously worked hard to construct.

“It appears that the Terminids have built up a resistance to the large amounts of bug spray we previously used to control their population. According to the current Major Order description, Terminid infestations have broken out on all Barrier Planets, indicating that the bugs are becoming immune to Termicide.”

Despite long-held theories among Helldivers 2 players, the most unfortunate aspect of this situation is that Termicide is now proving to be a major issue, causing them to finally understand the extent of its impact.

Termicide Brings Insects Back with a Vengeance

The Super Earth soldiers have begun diving onto Erata Prime, Turing, and Fenrir 3 in order to eliminate the Terminid Control Systems (TCS). Fortunately, the Major Order also includes a new mission type, adding some variety to the tasks.

The drawback is that Helldivers 2 players have been proven correct and it is believed by some that the behavior of the Terminids is already shifting. One theory that emerged during the TCS Major Order was that Joel planned to utilize Termicide in order to alter the bugs.

Some disloyal Helldivers went as far as to claim that Termicide was orchestrated by the Galactic Federation in order to increase the number of Terminids and obtain more E-710. These unfounded allegations must be promptly reported.

Now, our main focus should be uniting and defeating the remaining TCS to bring back peace and stability to the galaxy. The newly developed RL-77 Airburst Rocket Launcher could potentially aid us in accomplishing this mission.
