The Jujutsu Kaisen manga hasn’t been kind to Yuji lately, but a key image released by the author shows him in a calmer situation. Except that the illustration intrigues readers, who see in it the destiny of the protagonist.
Jujutsu Kaisen has never been more intense than recently, as Yuji and Yuta returned to the game to oppose Sukuna. The main character had been left in the shadows in the previous chapters, but it was to better make his return, accompanied by Gojo’s former student.
The goal of the two exorcists for the moment is to rescue Megumi from the clutches of the King of Scourges, who possesses her body. And Yuji’s presence is more than necessary to achieve the objective, thanks to his soul technique allowing him to hit Sukuna without touching Megumi, with whom he manages to chat.
And as the fight gains intensity, between the injuries of Gojo’s two students and the arrival of Maki on the battlefield, author Gege Akutami has released a key visual from Jujutsu Kaisen.

Most fans will already know how Yuji is related to the evil brothers. But for those who don’t know it, the young man comes from the same experiences as Kenjaku, who is in reality the father of Choso and his brothers, like that of Itadori.
Indeed, Choso and company, formerly known as the Fetuses of the Nine Phases, received a sample of Kenjaku’s blood before returning to life. As for Yuji, he was conceived by Jin Itadori, while she was possessed by the terrible exorcist.
The image shows the young man while wearing an outfit clearly reminiscent of Sukuna. In any case, this is what a user on Reddit pointed out: “The clothes that Yuji is wearing in this image remind me a little of Sukuna’s when he was still trapped in Itadori’s mind. Could this be an omen that Gege gave us?”
Another raised: “Yuji is Kenjaku’s Frankenstein’s monster. The result of a crazy experiment. Yuji is the real “human earthworm” that he ironically likes to watch.”
Many fans find the image difficult to digest. Jujutsu Kaisen may have embarked on its final arc, but there is no telling how the story will conclude. The illustration of a peaceful Yuji, in spiritual attire and in the company of his dead brothers has been taken as a dire omen for the hero.
All that remains is to go see the next chapters of the manga, which will however take a break before the release of 252.
