The domestic activities for NewJeans will kick off with the release of their highly anticipated double single “How Sweet” on May 24th, followed by an appearance on KBS2’s “Music Bank” . On June 21st, the group will make their debut in Japan with their single “Supernatural” , which has already generated buzz due to its collaboration with pop sensation Pharrell Williams. On May 18th, the music industry reported that all members of NewJeans, including Danielle, Minji, Hanni, Haerin, and Hyein, submitted a petition to the court on May 17th during the hearing for the injunction filed by Min Hee-jin. Although the specifics of the petition were not revealed, it is believed that the members, who have a close relationship with Min Hee-jin, see her as a motherly figure. Furthermore, it has been reported that the parents of the members also stand behind Min Hee-jin, indicating that the petition likely expresses their support for her claims.
NewJeans also took steps to ease the worries of their fans regarding any internal conflicts. In a recent communication with fans through the fan platform Phoning, Minji reassured them by saying, “NewJeans is even stronger than the Bunnies (NewJeans’ fandom) may perceive. Remember when I said we are fearless and determined bunnies? Of course, I was just joking about the guns. I meant it as a metaphor for our powerful love.”This message was meant to alleviate the concerns of their anxious fans.
