Weekly Shonen Jump magazine teases major announcement for Jujutsu Kaisen
According to Weekly Shonen Jump magazine’s news leaker on X (formerly Twitter), @WSJ_manga, the Jujutsu Kaisen manga is expected to unveil a significant announcement in the next week’s issue (#44) of Weekly Shonen Jump.
This issue will feature a Center Color Page and will include a Digital Manuscript Applicant Service alongside a Postcard Appendix. Though specifics about the big announcement remain under wraps, editor notes suggest that there is “still more to come.”
A month ago, when the My Hero Academia manga concluded, it similarly teased a major announcement. However, fans were disappointed to find out that the big news was merely about a character popularity poll rather than anticipated updates like a sequel or anime adaptation for the spinoff, My Hero Academia: Vigilantes.
Likewise, the likelihood of the Jujutsu Kaisen manga’s “great news”being related to a sequel or spinoff is slim. However, the editor’s remark “still more to come”implies that fans ought to feel optimistic about the upcoming announcement.
While it can’t be confirmed, some speculate that following the release of My Hero Academia‘s fourth movie for its 10th anniversary, Shueisha might also be planning a movie for Jujutsu Kaisen. Yet, this remains purely speculative.
To avoid potential disappointment, fans are encouraged to prepare for news regarding a Jujutsu Kaisen popularity poll, exhibition, or merchandise.
