The recent Diablo 4 reveals have been consistently exciting, especially with the 2.0 PTR stream. Two new Mythic Uniques have been introduced, adding even more excitement to the game and giving players more items to strive for.
Soon, Diablo 4 players will have access to the 2.0 PTR, coinciding with the release of the update, Season 6, and the Vessel of Hatred DLC. This combination is expected to significantly alter the game. Changes such as a raised level cap, a complete revamp of the Paragon system, and the introduction of the Rune Words mechanic will greatly transform the core gameplay.
This impressive achievement is the result of the Season 4 rework and subsequent updates in Diablo 4 Season 5. A major highlight of the game’s fifth season was the transformation of Uber Uniques into the coveted Mythic Uniques.
The upcoming Diablo 4 2.0 PTR will bring two never-before-seen Mythic Uniques, marking the first of this rarity category to be created specifically with enhanced power scaling in mind. These additions will join the existing Mythic Uniques, which are all upgraded versions of the previously existing Uber Uniques in the game.
One of Diablo 4 2.0’s new Mythic Uniques grants you a fitting boon from the Daughter of Hatred.
Two additional Mythic Uniques, the Shroud of False Death chest armor and Heir of Perdition helm, will be introduced in Diablo 4 2.0. The gear will have the following stats and affixes:
Shroud of False Death
- Affixes
- Inherent: +1 to All Passives
- +111 All Stats
- +222 Maximum Life
- +333% Damage on Next Attack After Entering Stealth
- 11.1% Resource Generation
- Power
- If you haven’t attacked in the last 2 seconds, gain Stealth and 40%[+] Movement Speed.
Heir of Perdition
- Affixes
- Inherent: +200% Damage to Angels and Demons
- +20% Critical Strike Chance
- +20% Lucky Hit Chance
- +20% Movement Speed
- +2 to Core Skills
- Power
- Succumb to hatred and earn Mother’s Favor, increasing your damage dealt by 60%[x]. Briefly steal Mother’s Favor from Nearby allies by slaughtering enemies.
The False Death Shroud appears to be the more reliable option of the two, as it provides boosts to Stats, Life, and Passives. Additionally, it grants all classes in the game the Rogue’s Stealth ability and significantly increases the effectiveness of Stealth attacks.
Although both options are intriguing, we ultimately find the Heir of Perdition to be the more captivating of the two. This is due in part to its significant damage boost against Angels and Demons, which suggests the introduction of new adversaries. Additionally, its potential for enhanced co-op gameplay through its connection to the Vessel of Hatred further piques our interest.
With the helm, you receive a flat 60% increase to all damage through a blessing from Lilith. However, if a party member also wears the Heir of Perdition, you can acquire their blessing and receive a 120% boost. This can be accomplished by killing an enemy in their presence.
While this may take away the other player’s damage boost, effective communication could allow for the trading of the blessing, adding an interesting aspect to gameplay. If you are lucky enough to obtain this Mythic Unique in Diablo 4, be sure to utilize the new Party Finder to connect with other Heirs of Perdition.
