FKA Twigs and Nicolas Cage are collaborating on a new horror film that delves into an unexplored era of religion – the childhood of Jesus.

The story of Jesus Christ’s birth is well-known: Mary and Joseph journeyed from Nazareth to Bethlehem, where she delivered the son of God. The three wise men also presented him with gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. While many are familiar with his ministry, as depicted in the Gospels and The Chosen, which ultimately culminated in his crucifixion and resurrection.

However, what occurred during this time? Did Jesus’ upbringing shape him into being aware that he was a vital part of the Holy Trinity? Was he a rebellious adolescent, and did he have a close circle of friends prior to his 12 disciples? These are often referred to as the “unknown”or “lost”years, with only brief references or mentions of moments in the New Testament.

Recently, it has been announced that the Carpenter’s Son, directed by Lofty Nathan, will be hitting the big screen. This upcoming film will delve into the childhood of Jesus, a story that is rarely told, with a horror twist, according to Deadline.

The Carpenter will be portrayed by Cage and the Mother by Twigs in the film. Noah Jupe, known for his roles in A Quiet Place and Honey Boy, will play the Boy, also known as Jesus. Souheila Yacoub, who will appear in Dune: Part Two, has a role that has not yet been revealed.

His actions reveal hidden abilities and a destiny that he struggles to understand. However, as the Boy begins to use his powers, his family becomes the target of both natural and supernatural threats.
