Palworld continues its development as the developers update the game to bring new features and quality of life improvements.
These changes can be as minor as new text for different situations, or as major as buffing a Pal’s attacks, and they can all have a surprising effect on the game as a whole.
However, one small change is taking fans by surprise, as a new notification has started popping up that sounds much more sinister than it actually is.
Palworld fans fear new notifications after update
News of the notifications spread on the Palworld subreddit, where a player shared a screenshot of a notification they received in-game. The notification is simple: “Visitor has left base.”
Their feelings on the matter are quite evident in the title of their post: “Sorry? THE WHAT? ??”
It seems this new notification comes as a surprise to many other community members, as more stories are being told in the comments.
“This happened to me as soon as I put the first pals box on a new save. He was a level 1 traveling merchant. I never saw this notification pop up, but again I used a sphere to capture him. So he didn’t leave.”
Many Palworld fans aren’t aware that Traveling Merchants can visit their camp, and the fact that the game simply refers to them as a “visitor”is certainly rather ominous.
Combine these two elements, and you have a recipe for a scared player base.
While many users dismiss this as a visit from a friendly merchant, one user warns that these characters aren’t always so nice:
“My visitor was chased back to my base by the union and started attacking my pals when we rescued him. I think I’ll keep my doors closed from now on.”
It seems that no place is truly safe in Palworld, not even your own base.
