New Pokemon Go Gifts feature is so “annoying” players think it’s glitched

Players have been feeling annoyed by a new feature in Pokemon Go that allows them to send Gifts with stickers, causing some to initially mistake it for a bug.

Sending Gifts in Pokemon Go is beneficial for players looking to catch rare Pokemon such as Vivillon. Additionally, trainers frequently add stickers to Gifts in order to fulfill Research tasks and receive fantastic in-game rewards.

Many trainers have been pleased with this feature, but a recent quiet change to stickers has caused sending Gifts to become a nuisance, as most people prefer to complete it quickly. This issue was brought to light by a user named ‘Authentic_Leadership’ in a Reddit post where they described it as an “additional inconvenience”and a “source of frustration”to handle.

Upon further reflection, the original poster expressed frustration with the fact that tapping on a sticker only leads to a larger selection screen, rather than directly choosing the desired sticker. They stated that if they had wanted to view the selection screen, they would have swiped up instead of tapping.

Many users shared the same sentiment as the OP, expressing their frustration with the update. A trainer even mentioned, “Adding stickers has become too difficult with just one hand, so I’ve resorted to only doing it for field research tasks.”

“Another person also observed, “I agree, I immediately noticed that the sticker step now includes an additional step… sending gifts is already one of the most tedious tasks in the game, and now it has become even more burdensome.”

Despite initial confusion among players, the feature was often reported as a bug. In fact, some players even encouraged others to report it in hopes that Niantic would remove it completely.
