The release schedule for the Pokemon TCG is progressing at its usual rapid pace, as the Stellar Crown reveal season is currently underway and the Shrouded Fable release is just ahead.
Despite the game being in the Scarlet & Violet era, a recent discovery has emerged in the wild. The community online has had a mixed reaction to the release of the exclusive Crown Zenith Premium Collection.
Unfortunately for Groudon enthusiasts, the Crown Zenith Sea & Sky Premium Collection primarily showcases Kyogre and Rayquaza, and will be sold exclusively at Sam’s Club starting on August 14. This set includes 4 foil promos, a jumbo Rayquaza promo, 14 Booster Packs, and a TCG Live code card.

Despite the fact that the community always engages in discussion and debate whenever a new Pokemon TCG product is released, the revelation of a new product within the Sword & Shield era left many perplexed.
A bewildered Pokemon enthusiast, commenting on the PokeBeach forum, expressed, “I am aware that these are not intended for players, but it still seems odd to have D and E block cards in a new product (although the E one is jumbo).”
Upon seeing Crown Zenith back in circulation, another collector in the forum expressed clear frustration and disappointment, labeling the new item as a “money-grabbing box of junk.”
Many were confused by the return of the popular Sword & Shield set. A collector on X asked, “Is Crow Zenith still being released? I thought that set was already finished…?”Another person commented that The Pokemon Company was “overprinting”this set.
Despite the complaints and confusion, there were still some Pokemon fans who were thrilled about the release of the new item. Several even noted the great value of the Sea & Sky Premium Collection, with one excited viewer exclaiming, “It’s more cost-effective than an ETB and includes more packs. I absolutely adore it.”
Regardless of whether you have intentions to acquire the new Crown Zenith addition, it is undeniable that Sword & Shield has become a highly sought-after expansion among TCG collectors.
