New Secret Transmog Discovered in Diablo 4 for Season 5 Sorcerers

In Diablo 4, there are many items that can be Salvaged in order to unlock their transmog appearance in the Wardrobe. However, there is one unique skin available as a reward in Season 5 that was previously unobtainable for Sorcerer players.

Sorcerers have a unique Focus known as Istel’s Grimoire. This item functions as a Tome transmog, which is usually unobtainable through the Wardrobe, and can only be utilized by salvaging it as a member of the Sorcerer class.

A Redditor stumbled upon this discovery and shared it on the Diablo 4 subreddit. The individual revealed that the seasonal questline rewards players with Istel’s Grimoire at the end.

Despite being one of around 30 items in the game that cannot be obtained as a drop, this item is not flagged as such. However, players can still acquire its appearance by salvaging items with the same look and for specific classes, adding it to their Wardrobe.

Until the release of Season of the Infernal Hordes, there was no obtainable item that had the same appearance as the Tome and could receive this look, as the poster went on to explain.

Once the current Season comes to a close in two months, players will no longer have the opportunity to obtain the Tome permanently. The only way this could change is if Blizzard chooses to enable Tome transmog during Season 6, but at this point, there is no indication that this will occur.

Despite the rarity of this secret Tome transmog, it is highly recommended for Sorcerers to complete the Season 5 questline in order to obtain the grimoire.

If you select any class other than the Barbarian, Salvaging this grimoire will not give you the transmog. A player shared that they Salvaged the grimoire and did not obtain the appearance, but this was because they were playing as the Barbarian.

Dedicated players of Sorcerer, or those who strive for completion in Diablo 4, may consider creating a seasonal Sorcerer specifically to obtain this Season 5 cosmetic. It is likely to become a coveted item in the future if Blizzard chooses to keep it exclusive.
