The universe of The Walking Dead has benefited from numerous spin-off series. But the most recent, The Ones Who Live, met with much greater success than the previous ones with fans and critics alike.
Even before the main series ended in 2022, the universe of The Walking Dead already had its spin-offs extending the story to other horizons. And recently, zombie fans have been able to find their heroes in different stories focusing on the continuation of their adventures.
Maggie and Negan took a trip to Manhattan in Dead City, when Daryl Dixon sent the eponymous character into the streets of Paris. But the spin-off series that everyone was waiting for was above all The Ones Who Live, in which Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln), hero of the first hour, is supposed to find himself again alongside Michonne (Danai Gurira).
Only episode 1 has been released at the moment, and the series is already a great success, both from critics and spectators!
The Ones Who Live is the highest-rated The Walking Dead spinoff series to date
With over 100 ratings on the audience score, The Ones Who Live reaches 96% positive results at the time of writing this article. As for Tomatometer, the spin-off is currently at 87%, with 15 reviews to its credit.
For comparison, the other most recent series (The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon) had an audience score of 67% and an overall score of 71%. For its part, Dead City had reached 78% and 80% respectively.
As for the original series, it fails to stand up to its spin-off, despite its audience score of 78%, and an overall score of 79%. However, it must be remembered that The Walking Dead must deal with its 11 seasons, accumulating more reactions from its audience. While The Ones Who Live is still in its early stages.
