Although DLC and a sequel are not planned for Baldur’s Gate 3, fans of the game can look forward to new evil endings, among other additions, soon.
Despite releasing in August 2023, Baldur’s Gate 3 maintains its momentum as one of the most played games on Steam, according to SteamDB.
The game has also won several awards thanks to its rich story and gameplay, attracting both veterans and new players to its immersive fantasy world. Also, the announcement that Baldur’s Gate 3 would not be entitled to either DLC or a sequel deeply disappointed players.
Despite Swen Vincke’s confirmation that the company would be moving toward “something new,”Baldur’s Gate 3 players can still expect future additions, including the arrival of even more evil endings.
According to an interview with IGN, while players won’t see “big content changes,”the team is working on adding new evil endings to the game for those who enjoy being on the dark side of the force.
Vincke said: “So, they are working on evil endings right now. I saw some of them. They are truly terrible. So the evil players will be satisfied.”
While these new “truly evil”endings haven’t been specified, they could be a game-changer for those who want a more dramatic gaming experience.
Additionally, in an X/Twitter post shared by Vincke, the team hasn’t finished updating the game and plans to add more support.
Also – we’re not done with updating Bg3. There’s still a bunch of stuff coming like mod support and extra cinematics for some of the endings. Just not new content.
