With the release of the Season of the Infernal Hordes in Diablo 4, players will have the opportunity to uncover more than 50 new “Hellish”Unique and Legendary items.
Blizzard released a detailed blog post discussing the upcoming features in Diablo 4’s Season of the Infernal Hordes, set to commence on August 6 at 10 AM PT.
In addition to an Infernal Hordes endgame mode and quality-of-life updates for the Helltide event, players can also expect to find over 50 Unique and Legendary items with Hellish attributes.
According to the blog post, the Season of the Infernal Hordes will permanently introduce these items for both Seasonal and Eternal Realms.
The blog post clarified that the newly crafted weapons possess qualities reminiscent of the Burning Hells, suggesting that they will offer affixes and visuals unlike those found in familiar Uniques and Legendaries.
Blizzard also verified that players can acquire these items by defeating enemies throughout Sanctuary, with drop rates increasing from the Spoils of Hell found in the Infernal Hordes.
The Infernal Hordes is a feature in the endgame where players can defeat numerous waves of enemies within a set time frame. Once the time expires, players will have the opportunity to select one out of three Infernal Offers.
The spoils of Hell refer to the rewards that players can obtain by using Burning Aether at the end of a successful run. These rewards increase the likelihood of obtaining a Hellish Unique or Legendary item.
After reading the blog post on the Diablo 4 subreddit, players expressed their surprise in the comments about the large number of new items being introduced. One player even exclaimed, “This season is going to be packed with amazing content!”
Despite Season 4 being considered a major success by Diablo 4 players, the upcoming Season 5 will bring even more features, continuing the game’s progress.
