NewJeans Achieves Profits Surpassing ADOR and HYBE Investments

In a significant development in the ongoing contract dispute, ADOR has initiated legal proceedings to establish the validity of its contract with the popular girl group NewJeans. This action comes in response to NewJeans’ announcement of contract termination during a recent press conference, which has sparked considerable attention in the media.

In light of these events, NewJeans released an official communication, expressing regret over the turmoil surrounding the situation and stating that they learned about ADOR’s legal action through media sources.

In their statement, NewJeans detailed their perspective on the contract dispute, outlining their rationale and future aspirations.

NewJeans’ Official Statement

“Hello, this is Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein.

We regret having to issue a statement during this tumultuous period.

Recently, we learned through the media that ADOR has filed a lawsuit to confirm the validity of our exclusive contracts with them. In their official communication, ADOR did not adequately address the alleged breaches of contract but rather reiterated that, due to their support and investment, the termination was impossible until those costs were recouped.

We wish to clarify that we have returned profits that exceed the investments made by both ADOR and HYBE. Furthermore, we believe that HYBE has actively attempted to undermine our reputation, with ADOR complicit in this behavior following a management transition.

It seems as though the entity responsible for safeguarding us has inadvertently fueled harmful publicity against us. This breach of trust has led us to conclude that remaining with ADOR and HYBE is no longer viable.

Our confidence in ADOR and HYBE has been significantly eroded due to their failure to meet their commitments to protect their artists. According to our agreement, we reserve the right to terminate if contractual obligations are not upheld.

It is both unreasonable and inhumane to compel us to extend our collaboration for an additional five years under these circumstances. We provided a 14-day grace period for ADOR to address the breach, but their inaction led us to formally declare termination, effective immediately.

While ADOR has pursued legal validation of the termination, it appears to be an attempt to retrospectively legitimize their position. We feel deep disappointment that ADOR’s public representation suggests the contract remains intact.

As of November 29, 2024, we consider ourselves no longer bound to ADOR, and we assert that ADOR has no authority to interfere with our independent activities.

We were shocked and disheartened by media narratives suggesting reconciliation, while simultaneously, behind the scenes, we experienced harassment and misinformation. Nevertheless, our unity as a group remains unbreakable.

We are committed to fulfilling our previously scheduled engagements with ADOR but have also witnessed distressing treatment of our support staff, including undue harassment and intimidation. Such behavior is intolerable.

Despite the challenges ahead, we aspire to cultivate a healthy relationship with our fans through our music.

Despite changes at the CEO level and ongoing issues at HYBE, ADOR has failed to rectify the situation or hold accountable those within their organization who have tarnished our reputation. We are disappointed by ADOR’s decision to pursue further legal action and anticipate that the trial will illuminate the reasons behind our contractual termination and ADOR’s breaches.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our supporters and sincerely request your ongoing love as we navigate this journey together.”
