NewJeans Connect with Fans Following Departure from HYBE, Minji Emotionally Reflects “I’ll Cry Later When I Can Cry Comfortably”

On December 22, Minji took to NewJeans’ new social media platform to share her heartfelt appreciation with fans, addressing them with a simple yet profound message: “Thank you always, Bunnies.”

Earlier that day, Minji engaged in a pre-recording session for MBC’s renowned “Gayo Daejejeon” stage performance. After the lengthy and chilly recording, she expressed her gratitude, stating, “Today’s recording was long, and it must have been cold, but I’m so thankful to the Bunnies who stayed strong and cheered us on until the end. Every stage with Bunnies is memorable, but today feels like one I’ll remember for a long time.”

In her messages, Minji continued to convey her warmth towards the fans, saying, “Thank you always, Bunnies. You’re all so cute and kind.” This sentiment highlights the special bond between the group and their dedicated fanbase, who are known for their unwavering support.

In a more personal note, Minji subtly revealed a poignant message by writing “I’ll cry later when I can cry comfortably” in faint white text atop the performance venue, indicating her emotional depth and connection with her fans.

In recent developments, on November 28, NewJeans hosted an urgent press conference in Gangnam, Seoul, where they announced their decision to terminate exclusive contracts with HYBE and ADOR, signaling their intention to pursue independent activities. This move comes alongside the launch of their new Instagram account, “jeanzforfree,” designed to enhance interaction with their fan community.

However, the situation has seen a twist, as ADOR has contested NewJeans’ announcements, asserting that the contracts remain valid and has initiated legal proceedings to uphold their claims.
