On the morning of September 17th, Danielle conveyed a heartfelt message via NewJeans’ official account, stating, “To our always-appreciated Bunnies~ I hope you can set aside your worries for a while and enjoy a joyful and warm time with your loved ones this Chuseok.”
She concluded her message with “I love you, Bunnies,” accompanied by several captivating photos.
The shared images are behind-the-scenes snapshots from a Chuseok-themed hanbok photoshoot featuring NewJeans members, initially showcased on NewJeans’ official account on September 13th. In these photos, Danielle is seen elegantly wearing a traditional Korean hanbok that highlights her unique charm.
On that day, the former CEO of ADOR, Min Hee-jin, also shared the hanbok photoshoot of NewJeans members on her official account, showcasing her deep affection for them.
In other news, ADOR’s parent company, HYBE, filed a lawsuit against Min Hee-jin on April 25th, alleging breach of trust among other charges. On August 27th, HYBE appointed Kim Joo-young as the new CEO of ADOR.
This change marked the end of Min Hee-jin’s management role merely 2 years and 9 months after her CEO appointment in November 2021. Min Hee-jin has claimed she was dismissed unjustly, while HYBE argues that the CEO transition adhered to legal protocols. On September 13th, she filed for an injunction at the Seoul Central District Court, seeking a temporary shareholders’ meeting and her reinstatement as an internal director at ADOR. The court’s ruling is eagerly anticipated.
On September 11th, the NewJeans members (Minji, Hyein, Haerin, Danielle, Hanni) conducted an emergency live broadcast, affirming their commitment to continue their artistic journey under ADOR, led by Min Hee-jin.
During the broadcast, Danielle expressed, “We just want ADOR to return to its former state. We’re not asking anyone to go above and beyond. Everyone just needs to fulfill their duties within their roles. We sincerely hope our request is acknowledged. From a human perspective, we wish for HYBE to stop causing distress to our CEO Min Hee-jin. It’s genuinely heartbreaking to witness her in this plight, and it makes HYBE appear like a ruthless company. What can we possibly learn from such a corporation?”
Minji further added, “What we desire is the original ADOR, with CEO Min Hee-jin overseeing both management and production. Voicing our request now is a means to prevent conflict and coexist harmoniously with HYBE.”
The group wrapped up the broadcast by stating, “If our message has been effectively communicated, we hope Chairman Bang and HYBE will make a wise decision to revert ADOR to its original state by September 25th. Thank you for listening to us.”
