On September 15th, Danielle updated her status on the fan communication app Phoning. The new status included heart emojis representing the five NewJeans members, alongside a hat emoji that symbolized former ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin.
Previously, on September 11th, NewJeans mentioned Chairman Bang Si-hyuk and HYBE during a live broadcast, expressing their wish for ADOR’s normalization. They also requested the reinstatement of Min Hee-jin as CEO, hoping for a wise decision by September 25th.
In response, HYBE’s CEO Lee Jae-sang stated at a shareholders’ meeting on September 12th, “It will take time, but we are responding calmly according to principles. HYBE is a company that adheres to principles and pursues fair management, and our stance will not change.”
On September 14th, BTS Jungkook shared a photo of his dog with the caption “Artists are not guilty,” along with another post stating “Don’t use them.”
Jungkook also included heart emojis representing the NewJeans members, which gained attention as it mirrored the heart emojis used by Hanni in her Phoning status.
Amid various speculations regarding Jungkook’s posts, BigHit Music, the agency representing BTS, clarified on September 14th, stating, “It was confirmed that the post was made with the belief that no young artist should be dragged into disputes or used as a shield.”
Earlier, Cosmic Girls member Dawon and S.E.S’s Bada also garnered attention for their supportive messages regarding NewJeans.
With Danielle showing her support for NewJeans members and former CEO Min Hee-jin, the future direction of this situation is being closely monitored.
