Danielle, a member of the group NewJeans, caused worry among both K-Netz and K-pop fans in the SNS community when ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin posted the idol’s personal letter on her Instagram.
On July 31, CEO Min shared a handwritten letter she received from the young idol on her social media account.
Danielle expressed her gratitude to the CEO in the letter, as NewJeans celebrated their second anniversary since their comeback. The member had nothing but praise for Min, describing her as their “true mother”and an “amazing warrior”who has greatly influenced both her and the group.
Despite the positive reaction from Korean netizens towards Danielle’s heartfelt message and the endearing dynamic between the idol and their CEO, international K-pop fans were left feeling puzzled and disturbed.
Despite Min’s potentially pure intention in sharing the letter, numerous web users criticized her for exploiting NewJeans to protect herself from critical remarks during her ongoing conflicts with HYBE, the parent company of ADOR.
