NewJeans Fandom Protests Removal of Min Hee-jin

On May 23rd, Bunnies stated that they would be filing a petition in protest of the termination of CEO Min Hee-jin and to safeguard the ongoing operations of NewJeans.

At this crucial moment when NewJeans is on the brink of substantial expansion, a conflict between HYBE, the parent company, and ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin has been brought to light in the petition, causing immense concern for both NewJeans and their supporters.

The group stated, “We recognize the substantial commitment HYBE has made to NewJeans, and we have full confidence that Min Hee-jin, who has consistently shown dedication and accountability towards the brand, has effectively fulfilled her role as CEO by successfully expanding NewJeans and producing consistent profits for ADOR.”

Moreover, Bunnies stated, “We acknowledge that it is important to uphold the contractual agreements between the parties and maintain Min Hee-jin’s position until there is a final legal resolution regarding any supposed unlawful conduct. This decision is also in line with the wishes of NewJeans members and reflects our goal of providing support to NewJeans.”

The petition further emphasized, “As dedicated fans of NewJeans, we deeply appreciate the contributions made by Min Hee-jin and value the strong bond she shares with the members. We firmly believe that this is crucial for the ongoing success of NewJeans.”

Apart from NewJeans members, other ADOR employees and individuals who have collaborated with Min Hee-jin have also filed petitions against her termination.

The upcoming extraordinary general meeting on May 31st for HYBE will involve the replacement of Min Hee-jin and ADOR’s management. However, Min Hee-jin has countered this decision by filing an injunction in order to prevent the exercise of voting rights. The court is expected to make a decision on this injunction before the extraordinary general meeting takes place.
