A video titled “NewJeans’ 15ya Preparation is Ready”was uploaded on the YouTube channel “Channel 15ya”on August 2nd.
Upon meeting NewJeans, PD Na Young-seok expressed his concern about the news of the youngest member, Hyein’s, foot injury which had kept her off the stage for a month. Hyein, in turn, thanked him for his concern.
Hyein mentioned that it had been approximately a month since she came back. PD Na Young-seok recalled seeing the four of them performing on stage for a short period.
PD Na Young-seok playfully asked, “Did you ever consider the possibility that she might not have to come back at all?”Minji clarified that while she was eager to return, her fellow members convinced her to wait until she had fully recovered.
During her recovery, Hyein would frequently travel between the dorm and her home. When questioned about whether she witnessed the older members leaving for work, they responded with, “She simply slept”and “We never saw her wake up.”
PD Na Young-seok inquired, “Honestly, what was your reaction to seeing your fellow members on TV without you? Were you disappointed, did you feel it must have been difficult, or were you just glad to have some time to relax?”
Hyein lightheartedly confessed, “To be completely truthful, it was a mixture of emotions. Initially, I felt a twinge of sadness, thinking ‘I’m sitting here by myself while my sisters are performing on stage’, but in reality, it was quite enjoyable and relaxing.”
Hyein revealed that she often sent messages in the NewJeans group chat, complimenting her friends by saying, “You all looked so beautiful. You were absolute legends today.”
She added, “Initially, we rehearsed the choreography with five members, but they had to adjust it because of me, so I’m sure they put in a lot of effort.”
