It was announced by ADOR on May 8 that Hyein’s hiatus would be extended. The official statement revealed that Hyein had sought medical attention for foot pain and had been diagnosed with a microfracture.
Since her extended hiatus, Hyein has been dedicated to her recovery. The decision was made based on the recommendations of medical professionals, resulting in her absence during NewJeans’ ‘How Sweet’ promotions.
“In April, ADOR reported that Hyein had felt pain on the top of her foot while practicing. After undergoing an examination, it was revealed that she had a microfracture in her foot.”
The agency stressed that Hyein’s main priority would be her treatment and recovery. Her doctors had advised her to limit any movement that could potentially cause further strain on the affected area.
