Minji appeared to allude to the recent removal of Min Hee-jin from her position as ADOR CEO, remarking, “There were things I wanted to disclose about the incident, but it has already been a week and I have yet to do so,”further stating, “I wished to assure the fans, known as ‘Bunnies’, who have shown concern and support towards me that everything is fine, but I am unable to do so at this time.”
She expressed her frustration, stating, “It’s disheartening that a single day isn’t sufficient to discuss positive topics. I am deeply sorry that I am constantly faced with unnecessary problems that I am unable to resolve.”As she wrote these words, she revealed her helplessness, saying, “Just like yesterday, there is nothing I can do and no issue has been properly resolved.”
Minji expressed her uncertainty about the duration of these unsettling days, and her hope that both Bunnies and herself will not have to endure such difficult times in the future. She concluded her message by apologizing for the delay and wishing the recipient a good night’s rest.
This marks the initial instance in which a NewJeans member has openly shared their sentiments regarding the dispute between HYBE and former CEO Min Hee-jin.
On the 27th of last month, ADOR convened a board meeting where they made the decision to remove Min Hee-jin from her CEO position and appoint Kim Joo-young as the new CEO. In response, Min Hee-jin’s team stated, “This dismissal is a violation of the shareholders’ agreement and the court’s order to refrain from exercising voting rights.”
The replacement of ADOR’s CEO occurred approximately four months after the conflict between HYBE and former CEO Min was revealed in April. It is anticipated that the disagreement will persist.
During ADOR’s extraordinary shareholders’ meeting on May 31st, HYBE, the majority shareholder with an 80% ownership of the company, made an attempt to remove former CEO Min. This was due to concerns about a possible takeover of management rights. However, Min was able to obtain an injunction from the court, which prevented HYBE from exercising their voting rights and ultimately led to the dismissal not being carried out.
